The Silent Clock

There is a clockmaker in a small town who is famous for his beautiful clocks. However, he only makes one clock a year, and it never makes a sound – it has no chimes or bells. Why doesn't the clock chime?

Solution: The clock is sundial! It tells time using the sun's position in the sky, and sundials obviously don't make any noise.
